Hiatus on pictures

Friday, June 20th, 2008

I’m heading out within an hour to go down to Eugene until Sunday. Don’t expect any pictures to be put up while I’m gone but I should have stuff for each day when I get back.

Indeed.

Now I need to go shave.

Wedding on June 21st

Monday, May 19th, 2008

Not my wedding of course. That’d require too much blackmail for me to bother with the effort at this point. I’ll find that lucky lady one of these days.

Instead it’s my father’s turn. Again. And this time it comes packaged along with a new step-mother and three new step-siblings. He proposed awhile back and I knew he was getting married this summer but I hadn’t heard a date until this morning so it sort of slipped my mind until it reared back into view.

That said I’ll be down in Springfield and Eugene for at least a few days. I’ll be asking for twentieth to twenty-second off (that’s Friday through Sunday) but I may get frisky and also ask for Monday and Tuesday off since those are my usual days off recently. Not sure if I’d stay in town that whole time even if I do have those days off but I may.

Tales of New York - Part One

Part One of how many? Just matters how much I wish to type at a time and how I eventually separate things. I don’t intend to make it all one entry, that’s for sure.

And I’m back

Monday, July 9th, 2007

I’m too tired to write much since the only sleep I’ve had in the last twenty-seven or so hours was what I got on the plane ride back, which was several hours of sleep but constantly broken up with bouts of restlessness. Didn’t help that I sat next to two, angry, large men that took up all the room.

Anyhow, I’d love to write a bit about our adventures but be assured I had a fantastic time, I wish Jenny and I could have flown together so things would have been simpler, and I miss her. Oh boo hoo.

But I have tomorrow off and a bunch of her stuff is over here. Know what that means? An excuse to hide her away in my room never to escape.

Oh yeah, and we didn’t go to the Statue of Liberty despite spending around a week there. Heh.

Leaving tomorrow

Monday, July 2nd, 2007

Well, tomorrow Jenny and I fly out to New York City. Just figured I’d write something since I haven’t in a bit but this is all I wanted to write for now.

If something happens and I die on this trip I expect all of you to attend my funeral. And remember, I want to be served at it, so someone better bring the cook apron and the meat tong things.

What a crazy trip. It really doesn’t feel like I’m doing anything out of the ordinary tomorrow. I wonder when it will really hit. Probably three days into NYC and I wonder why the city seems so much larger and with more taxi cabs. And a subway.
